BINMALEY – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) will launch its second One Town One Product (OTOP) Philippine Hub on April 12 located at the Binmaley Museum to showcase and promote the best local products in the province.

Natalia Dalaten, OIC-provincial director of DTI-Pangasinan, said the hub is an improved version of the Pasalubong Center where market-ready OTOP products are made available to both consumers and tourists.

“The hub will showcase the products of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), assisted by the DTI under its OTOP Next Gen Program,” Dalaten told the Pantongtongan Tayo (Pag-usapan Natin) radio program of PIA Pangasinan aired over DZMQ Radyo Pilipinas Dagupan on Tuesday.

The OTOP Next Gen Program scales up products of local entrepreneurs by offering package assistance to MSMEs from product development, design, packaging, standards compliance, marketability, production capability to brand development.

Among the products that will be sold are processed food, wines, condiments, native delicacies, food preserves and non-food items such fashion accessories and wearables.

The hub will be open Monday to Friday.

The first OTOP Philippine hub in the province was opened in Alaminos City in January last year.  (PIA /AMB,CGC)
