Capitol set to launch investment plan for health

LINGAYEN—Gov. Amado Espino III is set to sign a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Department of Health-Center for Health Development 1 for the implementation of its Local Investment Plan for Health (LIPH) in 2019.

The governor, authorizing by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) to sign the MOA with DOH Regional Director Valeriano Perez per Resolution No. 2257-2019, was proposed

jointly by Fourth District Board Members Jeremy Agerico Rosario and Fifth District Board Member Noel Bince.

Rosario said the LIPH will forge the partnership between the DOH and the provincial government to implement the objective of the Fourmula One Plus for Health in the implementation and consolidation of support for health reforms in the province.

Fourmula One Plus for Health is the flagship program of the DOH with its tagline “Boosting Universal Health Care”, a strategy to launch reforms in the health sector.

Through the LIPH, the province will receive financial support from the DOH and other sectors for the implementation of its approved Annual Operational Plan for 2019 to guarantee the implementation of programs and projects in the province. (Leonardo Micua)
