NOT only police chiefs in the region have been reshuffled in their assignments but provincial election officers as well in preparation for the coming May elections.
Lawyer Marino Salas who was provincial election supervisor (PES) of Pangasinan for a long time, has been transferred to Ilocos Sur.
He was replaced by lawyer Alipio Alonzo Castillo III who was the PES of Ilocos Norte.
Castillo assumed his temporary post in Pangasinan on Jan. 3.
locos Sur’s PES has been transferred to La Union and the former PES of La Union is now in Ilocos Norte.
Commission on Election (Comelec) Regional Director Noli Pipo is expected to be assigned to Bicol, a poll body employee said.
The same source added that the concerned Comelec officials’ tenure in the reshuffle is six months. (PhilStar Wire Service)
