Barangay Bonuan Gueset fisherfolk get livelihood assistance

SOME 160 fisherfolk in Barangay Bonuan Gueset received P10,000-worth of livelihood assistance each from the city government on January 15.
The financial assistance was given to fisherfolk affected by the series of typhoons and heavy monsoon rains last year.
With the financial assistance, the fisherfolk will be able to purchase fingerlings or materials needed to restart their livelihood.
The city’s area workers, along with the barangay council, will monitor if the financial assistance was used by the beneficiaries to boost their livelihood. (Verdelle De Vera/CIO)
