Retired army man found with hundreds of ammunition

BURGOS — A retired member of Philippine Army was arrested when lawmen found hundreds of ammunition in his house in Barangay Diaz, Bautista which was raided by the police at about 8:45 a.m. on December 17.

The arrested suspect was identified as Reydante Limos, 40, who was served a search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Acting presiding judge Mervin Samadan of Branch 70 in Burgos town.

Seized from the house of the suspect were 549 rounds of ammunition for M16 rifle, seven long magazines for M16, six short magazines for M16, two ammunition for Caliber 38 revolver, one spent shell for M16 rifle and one spent shell for Cal. 45 pistol.

A case of Violation of Republic Act No. 10591was filed by the police against the suspect. (Leonardo Micua)
