SSS opens processing extension center in Dagupan

TO respond to increasing volume of transmitted transactions, the state-run Social Security System (SSS) opened on Oct. 29 its Tarlac Processing Center (PC) Extension office in Dagupan City for faster processing and release of benefits to more than 500,000 members and pensioners in Pangasinan.

SSS President and Chief Executive Officer Emmanuel Dooc said  a second processing center in the city  became necessary because of the large number of contributions coming from the region. Pangasinan is already generating at least P1-billion contributions a year.

“On the back of our branch expansion efforts, the creation of an extension office to decongest our Tarlac Processing Center will help reduce the turnaround time in handling SSS transactions,” Dooc said.

It has recorded an average of 264 transactions a day from the three branch offices located in the cities of Dagupan, Alaminos and Urdaneta since it started its operations on Sept. 24, 2018.

The Tarlac PC Extension Office is located at the Administrative Building of BHF Plaza along Mac Arthur Highway, Barangay Mayombo, Dagupan City.

The new SSS facility is in charge of the receipt and processing of sickness, maternity, employees compensation medical claim reimbursement, disability, retirement, and death claims, as well as processing, updating and adjustment of membership, contribution and loan repayment records.

Earlier on Oct. 29, the formal branch blessing and inauguration of SSS San Carlos branch located at the second floor of San Carlos Town Center Mall in San Carlos City was held. (PhilStar Wire Service)
