PNP – RO1 confers award to Gov. Espino for his invaluable support

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – The Philippine National Police (PNP)–Regional Office 1 recognized anew Governor Amado I. Espino, III for his invaluable support to the meaningful programs of the Philippine National Police.

It was noted that Governor Espino was cited for “his invaluable support in the implementation of Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1) programs and projects, thereby, contributing immensely to the attainment of the mission of PNP.”

The citation was conferred by James F. Fadrilan, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) regional director together with PCSupt. Romulo E. Sapitula, PNP RO1 regional director and some OIC PNP provincial directors during a brief ceremony held at the PNP Camp in San Fernando, La Union on October 29.

Commending the strong partnership between LGUs and PNP, Dir. Fadrilan extolled all local chief executives for their commitment and unfailing support to the flagship programs of the police force.

Through this effective maintenance of peace and order, Dir. Fadrilan added, economic, political and social growth in communities are easy to achieve.

As such, the director enjoined all chief executives and other leaders present during the awarding ceremony to further backstop noble undertakings of the policemen for sustainable developments in the society.

“It needs a partnership of the national government through the police force and other law enforcement agencies with local government units for peaceful communities to exist,” he stated.

Other local chief executives awarded from LGU Pangasinan are, as follows: Belen T. Fernandez (Dagupan City), Amadeo Gregorio E. Perez, IV (Urdaneta City), Amadeo T. Espino (Bautista), Cezar T. Quiambao (Bayambang), Simplicio DL. Rosario (Binmaley), Arnold F. Celeste (Bolinao), Jumel Anthony I. Espino (Bugallon), Joseph Arman C. Bauzon (Calasiao), Kim Mikael D. Amador (Manaoag), Bona Fe DV. Parayno (Mangaldan), Silverio D. Alarcio, Jr. (Laoac), Ernesto T. Go (Pozorrubio), Susan P. Casareno (Rosales), Rebecca M. Saldivar (San Nicolas), Carlito S. Zaplan (Sta. Barbara), Timoteo S. Villar, III (Sto. Tomas) and Nonato S. Abrenica (Villasis).

Second District Representative Congressman Leopoldo N. Bataoil, who received the same award also graced the program.

It can be recalled that the active support of the Espino administration to PNP’s campaign against illegal drugs has been earlier recognized through a citation awarded to Governor Espino by ex-PNP Chief General Ronald “Bato” M. Dela Rosa during the 115th Police Service Anniversary celebration also held at Camp Florendo in San Fernando City, La Union on September 2 last year.

Prior to the program, Governor Espino, along with Bugallon Mayor Jumel Athony Espino and Pangasinan Provincial Police Office (PPO) Acting Provincial Director PSSupt. Wilson Joseph F. Lopez, joined a ceremonial tree-planting activity also held at the PNP Camp.
