MBTF leads city officials as “Certified DepEd Partners”

MAYOR Belen T. Fernandez led five other city officials being recognized as “Certified DepEd Partners” by the Department of Education (DepEd) – Schools Division Office (SDO) Dagupan during the Division Stakeholders’ Convergence 2018 held at the Pangasinan Regency Hotel in Calasiao, Pangasinan on November 6.

The awards were presented to them in recognition of their support for DepEd SDO Dagupan through the years.

The mayor received three awards: as individual top awardee, for LGU Dagupan and for her family-owned CSI Stadia under the business sector category.

Other city officials recognized under the individual category included Liga ng Mga Barangay President Dean Bryan Kua, Councilor Maybelyn DC. Fernandez, Councilor Jose Netu Tamayo, Councilor Redford Christian Erfe-Mejia and Punong Barangay Helen Fermill of Tebeng.

The city government and the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) were also cited under the national and local government agencies categories.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Dagupan and the Philippine National Police (PNP) Dagupan were also given awards.

Other awardees included outstanding individuals, government agencies, non-government organizations, and institutions from the academe, business and media sectors as well as accredited contractors and suppliers.

In her message, Mayor Fernandez, underscored the important roles of synergy and friendship in achieving a common goal.

“The path we are on is the fabric of our shared imagination. For all these years, as your humble friend, our imagination made all of our dreams come true. And as friends, we all have the power to make little and big choices that can change the course of our young students and our public schools in Dagupan,” she added. (Verdelle De Vera/CIO)
