DCWD: Online payments now possible

By November 19, 2018Business, News

CUSTOMERS of Dagupan City Water District (DCWD) have began paying their bills online since November 7, 2018.

The online payment service was made possible through a memorandum of agreement between the DCWD and Electronic Commerce Payments, Inc. (ECPay) signed by Adelfo Valle, DCWD general manager, and George Gonzalez, ECPay, business development head at the DCWD board last Oct. 25.

The signing was witnessed by Jonathan Loresca, manager of DCWD’s Accounts Division, and  Marnelyn Malabanan, accounts executive of ECPay Biller Relationship.

Under the agreement, ECPay was authorized as DCWD’S collecting agent using the over-the-counter and mobile on-line facilities.

With ECPay, DCWD customers no longer need to pay at DCWD collection centers.

The mechanics for the online payment scheme is as easy as engaging in mobile banking or shopping on-line, or present the current Statement of Account specifying amount due to the counter payment centers.

An acknowledgement receipt is generated by ECPay’s merchant partner (outlet) which will serve as proof of payment.

There are ECPay posters inside DCWD collection centers to guide customers.

Valle said the management of DCWD continues to look for means on how to serve the consumers of DCWD better and more efficiently. (Leonardo Micua)
