5 foreign students in ‘pot’ session nabbed

FIVE foreign students were arrested by the Dagupan City Police after they were found participating in a marijuana ‘pot’ session early morning of October 27, Saturday inside an apartment on Sesame Street, Amado Tapuac in Dagupan City

All five, Indian nationals, are studying at the Lyceum Northwestern University (LNU) and residing at Begpar and JC apartments in Barangay Careenan in the city.

Elements of the Dagupan police acted on a report from a concerned citizen that there was ongoing pot session in the apartment of the five foreign students.

Arrested were Thaduri Arun Kumar, 22, a 2nd-year medical student, Alapati Surya Kiran,21, a psychology student; Shai Abdul Subhan, 21, 2nd year medical student; Jarugul Shavath Kumar, 22, medical student; and Dharviya Kiran kumar Parsottan Bhai, 21, graduate student .

Seized from them were three foils containing marijuana residue, one disposable lighter, one plastic bottle of soft drink containing marijuana residue and one plastic plate containing dried marijuana leaves. (Leonardo Micua)
