SP03’s family hailed for reg’l and nat’l awards

LINGAYEN–  SPO3 Leonardo T. Frias, Sr. and his family were commended by the provincial government for winning the regional and in the national search for Model Philippine National Police (PNP) Family 2018.

Vice Governor Jose Ferdinand Z. Calimlim, Jr. and provincial board members Rosary Gracia Perez-Tababa, Jeremy Agerico B. Rosario and Noel C. Bince, and department heads presented a resolution plaque to Frias and his family commending their accomplishment on October 8 at the Capitol Plaza.

SPO3 Frias, a native of Brgy. Bantayan in Mangaldan, is currently assigned at San Jacinto Municipal Police Station.

Frias and his family received the regional award at the Police Regional Office 1 in La Union on September 9 while the national award was conferred to him at Camp Crame in Quezon City on September 14.

SPO3 Frias, now on his 23rd year in service, was cited for his advocacy through his organization, particularly “Kapamilya” which has 600 members and 2,500 members from Grace Guardians Inc. in the towns of Mangaldan, San Jacinto and Manaoag.

“Sana maging halimbawa o inspirasyon ito sa mga kapwa ko pulis,” SPO3 Frias said referring to the citation.

Frias has been married for 24 years with his loving wife Cherrie Frias and a dedicated father to his six sons, namely: Lexter, John Cleo, Christopher, Abraham, Jonathan, at Leonardo Jr.

The annual search for model PNP family administered by the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM), PNP, and Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) which started in 2010, is aimed at recognizing PNP families who have outstanding contributions for the community. (PIO/SMDG)
