Provincial disaster responders trained anew

LINGAYEN— Representatives from member provincial government offices, and national government agencies of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) completed another training on Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA), and Pre-Disaster Risk Assessment (PDRA).

The training-orientation on RDANA and PDRA on October 2-4, was attended by the PDRRMC technical working group, which will be mobilized in times of disaster and emergencies.

In thanking PDRRMC, Gov. Amado Espino III said:  “Nagpapasalamat po ako sa inyong tulong at sakripisyo sa mga nakalipas na Habagat at nang hagupitin tayo ng bagyong Ompong,”

Espino said trainings and orientation related on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) attended by PDRRMC disaster responders is vital to cascade ‘disaster resiliency’ in all localities of the province.

Trainors from the Office of Civil Defense – Region 1, will certify to the new RDANA training course completers of the province.

The RDNA and PDRA training-orientation was a follow-up to training held previously to prepare more trained disaster responders of the province, PDRRMC Spokesperson Avenix Arenas said. (PIO/MGNO)
