LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – “Alagaan niyo po ang inyong negosyo at ang inyong kalusugan nang makatulong kayo sa inyong pamilya dahil ‘yan po ang buhay ng programang ito.”

This was bared by Governor Amado I. Espino, III as he led the awarding of Php5.865 million financial grant to 35 cooperatives and associations and six micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center (NRSCC) Restaurant on September 25.

Elated with the high repayment rate, Governor Espino expressed his appreciation for the unwavering support of the beneficiaries to the Livelihood Assistance Program (LAP) and vowed to sustain the assistance program.

As such, the governor said that from the maximum loan amount of Php250,000 every cycle, the provincial government can double it up to Php500,000 or more with Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) as partner.

It was noted that under Governor Espino’s stint, renewal cycle has also increased to eight cycles from the usual three cycles.

The provincial chief executive was assisted by Vice Governor Jose Ferdinand Z. Calimlim, Jr., Provincial Population Officer (PPO) Ellsworth G. Gonzales and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer (PSWDO) Emilio P.
