The gold medalists will represent the region on the National Finals on November 4, 2018 at the Skydome, SM North Edsa.

Started in 2016, the Philippine Sudoku Super Challenge has been held in SM Malls across the country to seek students who have love and passion in answering Sudoku puzzles.

“We are grateful to our Mathematics Training Guild (MTG) family for always choosing our mall, SM City Rosales as one of the venue of its Regional Eliminations.” said Herald Eleria, SM City Rosales Mall Manager, during his welcome remarks. “We assure you that we will continue supporting the Philippine Sudoku Super Challenge for we believe in the talents and skills of our students,” he added.

The project aims to promote the number of puzzle to the youth for the purpose of developing their reasoning ability; enhance the mental and critical skills of the students so that they can solve life’s problems effectively; and offer an alternative to spending enjoyable, educational and productive past time.

Eleria also cited the positive impact of sudoku on families. “We observed that this activity bring parents and their children closer like how we bring everyone together at our malls. We can see the endless support of parents from the preparation, eliminations to the finals for the kids.”
