Ex-kagawad, teacher, 17 others arrested

LINGAYEN–A former barangay kagawad, listed as a high-value target level 1 in Pangasinan, was arrested on September 11 in Barangay San Vicente, Bani after lawmen raided his house to serve two search warrants for violation of Republic Act 9165 (illegal drugs;) and RA 10591 (illegal possession of firearms and ammunition).

Arrested was Rolly Caacbay, farmer, and seized from him were 10 sachets of shabu and one Cal. 38 revolver without a serial number loaded with five bullets.

Arrested last week in separate buy-bust operations in Malasiqui were Jolly de Guzman, a public school teacher from Bayambang, in Barangay Calbueg, Manuel Maynigo, alias Marlon, a drug personality, 18, who sold two sachets of marijuana leaves to an undercover policeman.

In Dagupan City, three women identified as Milagros Vivora, 47, of Tarlac City, Leonila Episcope, 55, of Macabito, Calasiao; and Hilda Ramos, 35, of Mayombo, Dagupan City were arrested inside a fastfood restaurant; three newly identified drug personalities- George Fernandez, 18, alias “Jude” of Anolid, Mangaldan, and Karl Vergel Caras, of Poblacion, Anda, 18, and Asis Sultan, alias Boyong, 18, were arrested in Barangay Nalsian and Ambonao in Calasiao when they sold sachets of dried marijuana.

Another newly identified drug personality arrested by the Dagupan Police in Burgos St., Barangay IV was Nordenielle Riego of Sitio Careenan, for selling one sachet of dried marijuana leaves.

Arrested in Barangay Warding, Bayambang was Elino Cabauatan, a former drug surrenderer, 47, was found too in possession of three bullets for Cal. 45 pistol.

In San Carlos City,  arrested in Barangay Parayao was Paul Lester Austria, 33, while  arrested in Sta. Barbara were, Daryl Binayog Dealagdon, 32, and Mark Joseph Dealagdon, alias Mac Mac, a grade 12 student. Their arrests resulted in the subsequent arrest of Marjun Galvez Salonga, 24, of Pogo Chco, Dagupan City who sold sachets of marijuana leaves to a police officer.

Arrested in Dasol was Gilbert Onia, 25, a construction worker, tagged as a suspect in robbing and attacking two women in Barangay Equia, Dasol, yielded two sachets of shabu in his possession.

Arrested in Binmaley, was Ramil Manaois, 52,  a former drug surrenderer and a resident of Barangay Polong.

Arrested in Bayambang were Elvin Bartolome, 47, alias “Ambet, 47, a former surrenderer who sold a sachet of shabu and Marcelo Baldado who sold one sachet of shabu. (Leonardo Micua)
