Classes in Dagupan ordered resumed Sept. 19

CLASSES in all levels in Dagupan City were ordered resumed on Wednesday, Sept. 19 after four days of cancellation.

Mayor Belen T. Fernandez was confident that the flooding in the city had already eased since no more rainfall was experienced on Tuesday and San Roque Dam already reduced the volume of water being released downstream from its reservoir.

Fernandez said while high tide would be experienced on Wednesday morning, it would only bring little inconvenience to pupils and students so classes could resume.

She however, clarified that the resumption of classes was without prejudice to the the school’s own determination of the need to suspend classes because of continued flooding considered not safe to both students’ and teachers’ health and welfare. (Leonardo Micua)
