BOLINAO—A lineman of the Pangasinan Electric Cooperative 1 was electrocuted to death when he was transferring an electric meter in Sitio Bareg, Barangay Arnedo in Bolinao at about 9:30 a.m. on August 21.
The victim was identified as Richard Potenciano, a native of Quezon province but was residing in Barangay Arnedo, Bolinao.
Eugenio Villarreal, operations manager of Panelco I, said Potenciano, lineman for more than a decade in PANELCO and an expert in fixing power line, slipped on a wet ground holding the wire when he was trying to transfer the electric meter of one Michelle Carolino.
The victim was rushed to the Rillera Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
(Leonardo Micua/Nora Dominguez)
