Bayambang Kagawad arrested for guns, bullets
A barangay kagawad of Manambong Sur in Bayambang town was arrested on August 15.
P/Superintendent Fidel DG Junio, Bayambang police chief, said kagawad Nelson Pagador Latorre was arrested on the basis of a search warrant served and found one unit of Armsacor cal.45 pistol; eleven bullets and one magazine for cal. .45 pistol, and 11 bullets for a shotgun.
Joint elements of Bayambang Police Station and Detectives of the Criminal In estimation and Detection Group (CIDG) Provincial Force Unit implemented the search warrant dated August 13 issued by Presiding Judge Mervin Jovito Samadan of Regional Trial Court Branch 70 in Burgos town.
Police Chief Superintendent Romulo E. Sapitula, PRO1 Regional Director, had ordered all Chiefs of Police to intensify their efforts in the conduct of Oplan Katok to address issues on unlicensed and unregistered firearms in the region. (Leonardo. Micua)
