LINGAYEN–Twelve drug pushers, some of them former surrenderers, were arrested in a series of anti-drug operations conducted by the police, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in 8 towns and 1 city in the province last week.

The arrests were made in Bugallon, Balungao, Malasiqui, Mangaldan, Basista, Binmaley, Sison, Pozorrubio and Urdaneta City.

Three of the arrested suspects are from Bayambang, two from Bugallon.

Arrested were Reynaldo Jimenez, 50, a basketball referee and a former drug surrenderer of Barangay Cayanga, Bugallon; Roberto Gaspar, 48, also a former drug surrenderer of Kita-Kita, Balungao; Crisologo Angeles, a newly identified drug personality from Barangay Magsaysay, Bayambang but was arrested in Nalsian Norte, Malasiqui; Romeo Aquino, 27, who is under the Municipal Drug Watch list in Mangaldan but fell in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Tebag; Felipe Zuniga, 27, of Salomague Sur, Bugallon who was arrested for illegal possession of firearms but lawmen found sachets of dried marijuana leaves in his possession.

Also arrested were Ronie Pedroche, 34, a newly identified pusher from Balaybuaya, Bayambang who was arrested in Polopolo, Basista; Joseph Fernandez, 20, a newly identified drug pusher of Balaybuaya, Bayambang who was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Dumpay, Basista;

Zaldy Aviles, 53, from whose house in San Isidro Sur, Binmaley lawmen served a search warrant where they found several sachets of shabu and various paraphernalia; Mark Espanola, a former drug surrenderer, 24, from whose house in Barangay Bolaoen West, Sison was searched by lawmen who found a Cal. 38 revolver as well as two-heat sealed sachets of shabu thereat;

Marlon Ballesteros, 38, a newly identified user and pusher as well as a former drug surrenderer who was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Maniboc, Lingayen; Ronaldo Valdez, 48, whose house in Barangay Rosario, Pozorrubio was raided by lawmen when they served a search warrant; and Zaldy Borromeo, 27, a resident of Mabanogbog, Urdanerta City who was arrested at Centro Mart in Poblacion, Urdaneta in a buy-bust operation.

The anti-drug operations were ordered by P/Senior Supt. Wilson Lopez, officer-in-charge of the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office in a bid to finally clear the whole province of illegal drugs.
