10 drug suspects arrested, nine in buy-bust operations

LINGAYEN—The simultaneous drug buy-bust operation conducted by the police in various towns in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), on July 17 resulted in the arrest of 10 suspected drug pushers and seizure of several sachets of shabu.

Three of the 10 suspects were arrested in Dagupan City, namely: Noel Zabala, 45, who was nabbed in a buy-bust operation at Mascara Inn in Malued; Jhayjay de la Cruz, 19, who fell in a drug buy-bust on Careenan Street in Poblacion Oeste; and Rey Arzadon, 40, who was arrested at PNR District in Mayombo.

In Alcala, Eric Aspirin, alias “Ostong”, 29, of San Pedro, Alcala, a drug surrenderer, from whom two sachets of suspected shabu were seized. In Binmaley, Denver Espiritu, 40, newly identified drug personality who was arrested in Baybay Lopez, was already previously charged with violation of Republic Act No. 9165 (illegal possession of drugs).

In Aguilar, Ramil Ingaran, alias Lupin Balagtas, a newly identified drug personality, was arrested at the Tarlac-Pangasinan highway in Baybay Aguilar while Joseph Arcabado, 50, was arrested in Sta. Maria West in San Nicolas.

In Villasis, the local police arrested Marvin Castillo, 24, in Brgy Caramutan from whom a home-made magnum, four pieces of Cal, 5.556 armalite, ammunition, one fragmentation grenade, one matchbox of marijuana seeds and one plastic sachet of dried marijuana leaves were seized.

Joey Petrola, 37, of Nilombot, Mapandan was arrested for creating trouble and when frisked by policemen, a sachet of shabu was found in his pocket.

All the suspects were charged for violation of RA 9165. (Leonardo Micua)
