Suspected cattle rustler nabbed 

MALASIQUI–A woman, a suspected cattle rustler was arrested by the police in Barangay Taloy here at past noon on June 7.

The suspect, April Cerezo, 20, single, was reportedly caught herding and subsequently tying a missing two-year old white female cow valued at P30,000 to a tree.

The suspect failed to present any document to show ownership.

Initial investigation revealed that the caretaker, Samuel Bulatao. 30, of Barangay Coliling, discovered the cow missing from its place beside his house.

When Bulatao could not locate the missing cow, he reported the matter to the San Carlos City police.

The animal was later spotted and positively identified by Bulatao in Barangay Taloy,  Malasiqui in Cerezo’s care.

The suspect and the recovered animal are now under the custody of San Carlos City Police Station.  (Leonardo Micua)
