SP congratulates cycling champ Cariño

LINGAYEN—The Sangguniang Panlalawigan passed a resolution congratulating El Joshua Cariño of Mangaldan town for winning the 9th edition of Le Tour Filipinas, a cycling  event that passed through Pangasinan.

The resolution sponsored by Fourth District Board Member Jeremy Agerico Rosario cited Cariño for bringing the province into the limelight in sports.

Cariño, 25, became the third Filipino to rule the said road race held from May 20-23 participated in by 185 local and foreign cyclists.

Rosario said that with his feat, Cariño has proven his indomitable spirit in the recent cycling competition.

Mangaldan, where Cariño comes from, is the acknowledged cradle of cycling in Pangasinan if not in the whole nation. (Leonardo Micua)
