Four arrested for smoking in public
MANAOAG- A jeepney driver, a market vendor, and a delivery boy were among the four persons arrested by the Manaoag police for smoking in public areas, a violation of Executive Order No. 26.
The suspects were arrested simultaneously on April 2 at 2:30 p.m. in Barangay Poblacion, Manaoag.
The Manaoag police said the suspects violated E.O. No. 26 which seeks to promote smoke-free environment in public and enclosed places.
Arrested were Oscar Sanches, 50, driver, of Immanduyan, Laoac; Virgilio Menor, 42, vendor, of Embarcadero, Mangaldan; Erwin Aquino, 19, a delivery boy of Babasit, Manaoag; and Juanito Galliguez, 26, of Baritao, Manaoag.
The four were reprimanded and subsequently released after rendering community service. (Leonardo Micua)
