“Werweran ed Mangaldan” set March 11
PANGASINAN’s and neighboring provinces’ best quadragenarian and quinquagenarian cyclists will pit their skills for the first time this year when the 2018 Werweran ed Mangaldan unfurls on March 11.
The bikefest will be run in two categories with maximum of 70 contestants.
The flat and hilly bikefest in its 41st season is sponsored by Parañaque City-based Excellent Noodles of Alex Billan, will be exclusively for 40-49 and for 50 and-above years old riders with cash prizes, trophies and medals up for grabs for each category.
The road saga starts and ends in barangay Buenlag across the elementary school traversing the town of Mangaldan via Manarin and Banaoang East-Navaluan roads, to San Jacinto and San Fabian via San Vicente-Angio provincial roads, Damortis and Rosario, La Union, Sison and Pozorrubio national highways, back to San Jacinto via Maambal-Lobong roads, Mapandan via barangays Sta. Maria, Imelda and Baloling provincial highways and finishes in Buenlag with an approximate distance of 78 kilometers.
