3rd Provincial Women’s Convention set March 21-22

LINGAYEN – The provincial government will host the 3rd Provincial Women’s Convention on March 21-22 at the Provincial Training and Development Center, here in celebration of the National Women’s Month.

Municipal/city members of the provincial federation of Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina (KALIPI), municipal/city social welfare and development officers, women’s desk officers from the Philippine National Police, and social work majors from the state university of the province are expected to attend the convention on the theme.

“We Make Change Work for Women” #WomenMakeChange.

It will feature a forum on Women’s Education and Population Growth, and Go Negosyo and Women Economic Empowerment while the JCI Lingayen Liberation II will conduct free beauty make-over, skills and livelihood training, and free legal consultation.

Free-of-charge medical check-up will also be provided to the participants of the women’s convention.

Caribbean dance competition for municipal/city KALIPI associations is set in the eve of 21st.

A special provincial KALIPI meeting/evaluation and assessment is scheduled on the following day, March 22, at the President Hotel, here.

Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Emilio Samson said the provincial government continue to be committed to promote women empowerment, as it recognizes the role of the women sector in the over-all development of the province. (PIO/MGNO)
