Kagawad nabbed for indiscriminate firing

TAYUG—A barangay councilman was arrested by the police for firing his firearm indiscriminately at 10:15 p.m. on Christmas eve in Barangay Trenchera, Tayug, scaring his neighbors.

Arrested by elements of the town police was Raquily Bado, 49, a businessman, who was reported by neighbors to have discharged his firearm twice in the air just less than two hours before Christmas.

He was found in possession of one Caliber 45 Armscor pistol that had a magazine containing five bullets.

The suspect was able to present license to own the firearm which is now the subject of verification by the Firearms and Explosives Office in Camp Crame.

He was brought to the Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital for his physical and medical examination and subsequently brought to the Tayug Police Station for processing.  (Leonardo Micua)
