ROSALES—Beware of a motorcycle riding hold-up gang victimizing stranded travelers on the highways.

A businessman from Bautista town lost P195,000 cash to three motorcycle-riding men who staged a hold-up upon seeing him alone while tending to a flat tire of his Chevrolet SUV along the provincial road between San Salvacion, Rosales and Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija at 8:45 p.m. of Nov. 28.

Jomar de Guzman, 27, said the incident happened when he stopped and got out of his SUV to check on his tire when a motorcycle stopped from behind and one of the riders pointed a hand gun at him and announced a hold-up.

De Guzman said two of the suspects went inside his car and carted away his cash before they fled to the direction of Cuyapo.

He later told the Rosales police that one of the suspects was wearing a bull cap while the two others wore crash helmets.

The Rosales Police Station has coordinated with the Cuyapo Police Station for the arrest of the holdup men. (Leonardo Micua)
