SOME five thousand five hundred residents of Barangay Pugaro in Dagupan City received goodies and free medical and dental services during the Aid to Humanity (Lingap sa Mamamayan) of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) conducted last October 29.

The Aid to Humanity of the INC was conducted worldwide in various villages around the globe.

Aside from goody bags that consisted of 3 kilos of rice, 3 canned sardines and 3 packs of noodles, residents received free medical and dental services from the INC medical and dental team.

Barangay chairman Nestor Victorio said the livelihood of 80% of the more than 5,000 residents in Pugaro is fishing so medical and dental services were a big help to most of them.

He thanked the Church Administration for choosing their barangay as one of the sites in Pangasinan as a beneficiary for the Worldwide Aid to Humanity, a socio civic program of INC.

Pugaro is only accessible via 15-minute boat ride from the back of Magsaysay Market or a one hour ride by land via Binmaley Road passing through PSU School of Fisheries.

The event was successfully conducted through the leadership of Brother Eugenio Cortez II, District Supervising Minister of INC in Pangasinan Central, with ministers from different Locales and Church officers and the Society of Communicators and Networkers of the INC who maintained security and orderliness during the event.
