WHERE LUPANG HINIRANG WAS COMPOSED

WHERE LUPANG HINIRANG WAS COMPOSED — Caretaker Jesus de Guzman shows the Casa Hacienda in Bautista town, the house where Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo established his Luzon headquarters in 1899, used by Gen. Antonio Luna when he worked with the La Independencia staff, and by Gen. Arthur McArthur as his quarters in 1898. It was also in the town where Jose Palma wrote his poem “Filipinas” which became the lyrics of the Philippine National Anthem. (Punchphoto by Cesar Ramirez)
