LBP to provide Capitol with POS, ePP facilities

LINGAYEN— The Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP), through its Lingayen Branch here, will soon provide the provincial government and its employees additional banking services.

Last September 28, the provincial board approved provincial resolution no. 1582-2015 authorizing the Governor Amado Espino Jr., to enter into and sign said MOA with the LBP, through Lingayen branch manager Liza Melendez, for the implementation of the point-of-sale (POS) debit and electronic payment portal (ePP) facilities at the different provincial government facilities.

The resolution recognized that the “POS debit and ePP facilities will lead to an increase in transactions at the different provincial government facilities.

The POS terminal facility facilitates the authentication of payments and/or cash withdrawals using local issued automated teller machine (ATM) cards, debit cards, and cash cards while the EPP is an e-banking system that allows internet-based payment system. (Johanne Macob/PIA)
