Two grandmas found dead in homes

SAN CARLOS CITY—A sexagenarian and a septuagenarian women were found dead in two separate barangays here in two consecutive nights.

Gloria Gabriel alias Guring, 65, from Sitio Sagor, Barangay Balite Sur was killed by a still unidentified suspect who appeared to have been struck her on the head with a one meter long bamboo pole and a stone that was recovered at the crime scene.

She was last seen entering her home after begging for alms at the city proper.

Her body was found at around 7:16 a.m. of Dec. 16 by police elements.

Meanwhile, the body of Gloria Polorico, 76, resident of Sitio Tokok, Barangay Agdao here was found on Dec. 15 at around 10:10 a.m. She was discovered lifeless by her son Roger, 36.

The victim was lying in her pool of blood with neck slashed and her head bashed.

She was last seen alive on Dec.14, 2014 at around 6:00 p.m. tending to her garden in their backyard.—Tita Roces
