THE Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) announced recently the staging of the 25th edition of the PRISAA Regional Games, on February 16-20, 2015, at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center, in Lingayen.
Some 800 athletes, coaches and officials representing six PRISAA Divisions (Metro Dagupan, Metro San Carlos, Laoag City-Ilocos Norte, Pangasinan 1, and Pangasinan 2) of private higher education institutions throughout Region I will be competing in 14 team and individual sports and events that include, for men – basketball, boxing, and sepak takraw; for men and women – athletics, badminton, chess, beach volleyball, dance sports, table tennis, karate-do, taekwondo, volleyball, vocal duet and vocal solo singing.
This regional sporting and cultural encounter, supported by Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr. and the Provincial Government of Pangasinan, serves as the qualifying competition to represent PRISAA Region I in the PRISAA National Games slated, on April 6-12, next year, in Iloilo City. (Philamer C. Celi)
