Dagupan’s OSBC receives ISO certification

THE city’s One-Stop Business Center (OSBC)-Business Permit and Licensing Office  received it’s second ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Certification for the the processing and issuance of business permits and licenses.

A jubilant Mayor Belen Fernandez was notified about the second certification last Friday after audit process conducted by the Certification of International Philippines (CIP)  by Lead  Auditor Edgardo V. Eleria of the OSBC was completed.

This is the second time that OSBC received ISO Certification. The first was awarded on May 5, 2010 during  the administration of former Mayor Al Fernandez Jr.

CIP is a renowned institution in the country that grants ISO Certification.

Based on the audit process, the OSBC passed the following areas:

* Competence, training and awareness

* Performance, monitoring and measurement of functional objectives and targets

*Customer satisfaction/feedback

* Internal Audit, Corrective and Preventive Action

*Management responsibility

Mayor Fernandez  said the ISO certification is proof that the system she introduced is effciently working for the benefit of city taxpayers.

“Without a doubt, transactions with OSBC are now much faster, and services are delivered by courteous, trained employees,” she pointed out.

According to Eleria, the OSBC received a ‘Very Good’ rating for customer satisfaction in 2013 up until the first quarter of 2014 noting that there was no customer complaint about its services.
