PERSONS with disabilities (PWDs) and senior citizens from different barangays in Dagupan received wheelchairs, nebulizers and blood pressure apparatus from a local philanthropist.

Ashok Vasandani, president of the Filipino-Indian Chamber and the More than Conquerors Breakfast Club based in Dagupan, made the donation through the city government of Dagupan as his way of celebrating his birthday on May 3.

“I thank Mayor Belen Fernandez for giving me this opportunity to help some Dagupenos through this project,” said Vassandani, an active civil society volunteer in the city.

Fernandez hailed Vasandani for his contributions to the city saying, “Since Ashok arrived in the city, he was always there for our people  during calamities, helping them and everyone in need.”

The city social welfare and development office dubbed the project as “Pagkilos at Pag- asa Project”.–Dada Austria
