ONE person was killed while another was wounded in a shooting incident along Galvan Street in Dagupan on April 28 at about 11:47 in the evening.

The victim, Edward Tirao of Amado Tapuac, Dagupan City, sustained four gunshot wounds on his chest. He was rushed to Cuison Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, the victim’s companion, 35-year-old Rod De Guzman from Barangay Ranao, Bani, was shot on his right arm but is now out of danger.

The perpetrators, who were on board a tricycle and are still unidentified, include one male described as heavy-built, wearing a referee’s uniform, and three other males.

Dagupan police chief Superintendent Christopher Abrahano said one shell fired from a 9-millimeter gun was recovered at the crime scene.

The police continue to investigate the motive for the killing and establish the identity of the killer.–Johanne R. Macob
