LIKE father, like son?

A businessman and supporter of Liberal Party mayoralty candidate Belen Fernandez complained to the police that he received a threat on his life a day after Councilor Brian Lim slapped his back hard from behind while watching the Kalutan ed Dalan Bangus Festival event on A.B. Fernandez Avenue on April 30.

Michael Sim told the media that he received an anonymous text message a day after the incident which read: “Kumusta ang nangyari kagabi? Natatakot ka ba? Sana may sasalo sa yo.”

He had the incident recorded in the police blotter.

Sim also narrated the incident on Kabaleyan Channel 17 hosted by Atty. Gonzalo Duque and Freddie Fajardo.

The young Lim, who is running for vice mayor, reportedly told and warned Sim after the back slap to stop criticizing his father in his (Sim’s) Facebook posts.

Tandaan mo ya. Naka-record lahat yan,” Lim threatened.

Sim said he did not bother to immediately report the incident to the police until he received the alarming text message from an unidentified sender.

The incident between Lim and Sim happened the day after Mayor Lim reportedly lashed out at Antonio “Solo” de Venecia for wearing his campaign shirt accompanied by supporters holding up the latter’s posters while watching the Gilon-gilon street dancing event in the afternoon of April 29.
