LP kicks off Team for Change campaign

A five-hour motorcade of the Liberal Party’s local candidates endorsed by President Benigno Aquino III in Dagupan and a mammoth rally that followed was described by political observers here as a “certified hit”.

The motorcade, held Wednesday afternoon starting at 2:00 p.m., led by re-electionist Congresswoman Gina de Venecia, mayoralty candidate Belen Fernandez and vice mayoralty candidate Michael Fernandez, started in Bonuan Binloc and signaled the start of the campaign of the Team for Change.

The trio formed the formidable Gina-Belen-Michael (Team for Change) team.

Other members of the Team for Change who joined the motorcade were re-electionists councilors Maybelyn Fernandez, Karlos Reyna, Alfie Fernandez and Jeslito Seen; former councilors Jose Netu Tamayo and Alfredo Quinto; Marilyn Manaois Reyna, Saysi Samson and Marvin Fabia.

The motorcade, which lasted at past 7:00 p,m, covered all the barangays  of Dagupan except the island villages.

After a late dinner at the residents of former Speaker Jose de Venecia Jr., the candidates proceeded to the Bonuan Binloc gymnasium for their first campaign rally.

President Aquino arrived in Dagupan Mar. 15 to personally endorse the Team for Change led by De Venecia and Fernandez-Fernandez.
