BILANG na ang araw nyo!”

This was the warning made by 4th District Rep. Manay Gina de Venecia to abusive politicians during mammoth political rallies of the Team Gina-Belen-Michael last Monday in Barangay Pugaro.

The congresswoman received numerous reports of threat and intimidation perpetrated by followers of Mayor Benjamin Lim to Dagupan voters if they will note vote for the entire Lim family on May 13.

De Venecia vowed to do everything she can to fight for the right of voters to freely choose the candidates that they want to serve them.

At the same time, leading mayoralty candidate Belen Fernandez also protested the removal and destruction of their campaign posters by the followers of Lim in many barangays.

Meanwhile, the residents of Barangay Pugaro stood as one in supporting the Gina-Belen-Michael Team to effect the needed reforms and bring hope to the long suffering people of Dagupan.

At the same time, De Venecia belied a report circulated by the camp of Lim that he is now supporting her as his wife Celia has already withdrawn from the fourth district congressional race

She branded this report as another of Lim’s campaign deception to make it appear that she and Manay Gina entered an unholy alliance in order to drive a wedge between her and Fernandez, the Liberal Party mayoralty candidate, whom she and her husband, former Speaker Jose de Venecia Jr. support to the hilt to become the next mayor of Dagupan.

“That is totally a deception because his wife Celia has not withdrawn as a candidate,” De Venecia said.
