SK 2013 pageant contestants named

LINGAYEN—From dozens of youngsters who tried out during the March 16 screening, only 12 pairs of young girls and boys from across the province made it to the official list of contestants for the upcoming Mr. and Ms. SK (Sangguniang Kabataan) 2013 pageant.

Those who will compete in the pageant are: for Mr. SK — John Kenneth Viado (Mapandan), Mhel Justin Conde (Villasis), Jose Christopher Mejia (Binmaley), Evert John Frianeza (Manaoag), Alvin Corleto (Mangaldan), Franklin Monegro (Malasiqui), Johnson Rabina (Calasiao), Ralph Brian Laguardia (Manaoag), Jay-R Manuel (Calasiao), Jesper Calub (Bayambang), Krisler John Barte (Calasiao), and Ar-jar Bonode (Burgos);

For Ms. SK — Angelica Demandante (Mangaldan), Jelly Fernandez (Lingayen), Joanabelle Solomon (Manaoag), Jefferlyn Perez (Bayambang),Sherry Anne De Guzman (Pozorrubio), Alyssa Ashley Calimlim (Villasis), Dana Marie Manglona (Calasiao), Khezy Lacsa (Burgos), Marienne De Guzman (Lingayen), Edellyn Aurelio (San Fabian), Christine Gem Anicas (Manaoag), and Lovely Sabado (Sual).

The contestants, 18-20 year old SK members, will compete in the production number, swimsuit showdown, resort wear, and a Q & A portion.

The competition, set on April 28 as one of the Pista’y Dayat activities, seeks to create more awareness towards SK’s mission and vision and and promote active invovlment in its activities.

SK provincial president John Christopher A. Arcinue said it will be the first time for the SK to officially participate in the popular and long-held Pista’y Dayat annual tradition.

Arcinue said the project will showcase the projects and the advocacies  of SK of each town while  highlighting the talents of members.

The pageant, to be staged at the Lingayen Beachfront, will be followed by a beach party with several performers lined up, including bands and comedians.
