LP COALITION STORMS PANGASINAN

PRESIDENT Benigno Aquino III has endorsed Alaminos City Mayor Hernani Braganza for governor of Pangasinan and Belen Fernandez for mayor of Dagupan City in a speech during a large gathering of Liberal Party supporters Friday at the CSI Stadia in Dagupan.

PNoy said the two, including their respective runningmates, are his personal choices to carry on the legacy of his administration to promote a graft free society under his “Matuwid na Daan” program.

The gathering marked the start of the two-day barnstorming campaign of Team Pinoy senatorial candidates in vote-rich Pangasinan, considered as a vital territory with more than 1.6 million voters.

Deresto po akong humihikayat sa mga Pangasinense at Dagupeño na bigyan ninyo ako ng kakampi na magsusulong ng mga reporma na kakailanganin natin upang umunlad ang ating bansa,” the President said.

“I ask Pangasinenses to give me allies who would push further the reforms we have started, vote for candidates with clean intentions and with integrity,” he added.

Bumuto tayo ng nmga kandidatong malinis at matapat. Magsama-sama para tuparin ang ating pangarap,” PNoy said.

The President went to the gathering after coming from the Region 1 Medical Center where he inaugurated a newly-built P23.9 Emergency Room Complex under the Health Facilities Enhancement Program of the Department of Health (DOH).

The President said he has full trust and confidence in Braganza and Fernandez who, he said, will deliver the services that are needed by their respective constituents and keep free from graft.

Kaya kung gusto po nartin ang malinis na pamamamhala at asensong umaarangkada, iboto natin si Nani (Braganza),” he said.

In asking the people to support Fernandez, the President said she has long been a partner in public service who does less talking and works much.

Buong-buo ang loob ko na pag si Belen ho ang naupo ay talaga naman pong umaarangkada ang Dagupan , Dagupan will boom with progress,” PNoy said

Braganza is pitted against re-electionist Gov. Amado Espino Jr of the Nationalist People’s Coalition while Fernandez is running against re-electionist Mayor Benjamin Lim of the Nacionalista Party.

PNoy also cited his administrations priority projects in Pangasinan, including ongoing construction of the 88-kilometer Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway, the San Nicolas-Natividad, San Quintin-Umingan-Guimba Road, and the P10 million Masidem Irrigation Project in Bani.—with report from Eva Visperas
