MAYOR Benjie S. Lim has urged the officers of the Tricycle Operators and Drivers’ Association (TODA) to serve as role models in the proper observance of transport franchise and traffic rules and regulations so that Dagupan will be known to be  an investment-friendly city.

Lim made the call as he reiterated his support to the SM group’s plan to build a mall in the city.

“This is the direction of Dagupan – kung darating ang SM, magiging advantageous ito sa inyo because more tourists will definitely go to our city,” he said, stressing that alongside the influx of more visitors is the need for discipline on the roads.

The mayor said their strict compliance with the rules and regulations of the city would mean more profit to their group.

Meanwhile, City Tourism Officer Rose Mary Teng Mejia and Technical Consultant Maria Lenny Alcaide-De Venecia spearheaded a seminar on “Effective Customer Service for Front Liners” with TODA officers and members as participants.

According to Mejia, the seminar dwelt on all issues and concerns related to their regular performance in the streets that call for “proper relations” with the passengers and the implementation of “no over-charging policy”. (CIO)
