Police operatives in Dagupan City are investigating a bomb explosion that rocked the neighborhood at the corner of Apahap and Alimango Streets at the Tondaligan Blue Beach Subdivision (TBBS) in Dagupan at l0:30 p.m. on June 1, Sunday.

P/Supt. Dionicio Borromeo, city police chief, said he has ordered his men to tighten watch on the subdivision after initial findings led by Lieutenant Hermie Ancheta, head of Task Force TBBS, indicate that association politics was behind it.

The team was dispatched by Borromeo after receiving a call from Jose Damaso, a village resident, to report that a bomb was exploded between his house near the St. Michael School, frightening his family in the deep of the night.

He told investigators it was the second time a bomb was exploded near his house, and suspects that a group that recently lost its claim for legitimacy as association officers with the Housing Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB) in Region I was behind the two bomb explosions.

Damaso said members of his family were often heckled by the losing group each time they would step out of the houses. #
