Two Dagupan jail wardens relieved from posts
TWO wardens at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Dagupan City have been relieved from their posts following complaints.
Jail Officer 3 Chat Mamaril of the human resource and records management of the BJMP’s regional office in La Union confirmed this saying relief orders had been issued on Wednesday against Jail Senior Inspector Narcisa Ramirez and Jail Senior Inspector Roque Constantino Sison III.
Sison, who has received several awards as outstanding warden and is also credited for the Dagupan BJMP’s recognition as the most outstanding in the country, and Ramirez, who was in charge of the female inmates, have been temporarily re-assigned at the regional office pending their investigation.
Chief Inspector Joseph Eisen Tacdoy has been named officer-in-charge for both male and female inmates.
The female inmates signed a written complaint against Ramirez accusing her of depriving them of conjugal visits, sun exposure, and serving spoiled food, among others.
Sison, on the other hand, was accused through an untraceable text message of holding a drinking spree at the administrative office with some inmates.
He denied the accusation and said he is certain that he will be vindicated.
Mamaril said it is still uncertain when the investigation could be completed and the results released. #
