MANAOAG–The Pyramid of Asia, founded and owned by renowned spiritual healer Reverend Alex Orbito, has reopened its doors Tuesday after years of closure.

Orbito, who claims to have healed thousands afflicted with various illnesses not just in the Philippines but in many other countries as well, calls the reopening of the Pyramid, a source of his healing power, as “second birth”.

In an interview with The PUNCH, Orbito said many still seek his help for all sorts of ailments including cancer, blindness, and heart diseases despite the advent of modern medical cures.

Majority of his patients, or about 70%, are foreigners. During the reopening of the Pyramid, there were some 50 Russians present seeking medical help.

He said he became aware of his special healing power   when   he was barely 14 years old  after he made a patient paralyzed for 10 years walk again.  He has since healed thousands of patients around the world.

Orbito was born in Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija but his parents are from Balungao town.

Orbito visited Cairo in1986 and the pyramids of Egypt gave him “strong vibrations”, prompting him to develop a similar structure here in Manaoag, a town known as a pilgrimage site for Catholics for the miraculous Virgin Mary at its main church.

The Pyramid of Asia, built mostly from donations in 1999, was designed by German architect and pyramidolgist Dieter Loewer

“Up  to now, no one has complained about me and I thank God for that,” he said.#
