VM Medical Center celebrates 50th anniversary

THE Virgen Milagrosa Medical Center (VMMC) in San Carlos City will mark another milestone in its history when it celebrates its 50th Golden Anniversary on November 27 and 28.

Dr. Angelo Juan, VMMC medical director, said one of the major highlights of the annual celebration is the selection of the Mr. and Miss VMMC 2007 on November 28with hospital and medical staff vying for the coveted title.

Other activities include free clinic for FBS/Cholesterol screening; ECG; Free pap smear and breast examination for females; free massage; free bone scan (osteoporosis screening); free reflexology to be conducted by Caregiver graduates of the Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation (VMUF) and free beverages to be provided by Nestle, Milo and Coke.

The VMMC will also conduct a gift-giving project to VMMC patients aside from lectures on Personality Development and the Cardiac Life Support seminar to be administered by the Philippine National Red Cross.

Dr. Ma. Lilia Posadas-Juan, the hospital administrator, said a special “VMMC Golden Baby” award will be given to a baby who will be born on the nearest November 27 anniversary date.

The baby will be christened in the name of the hospital founders, Doctors Martin and Rosalina Posadas.

A traditional dawn procession in honor of the Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal will be held on November 27. #
