REXONA KARATE CUP

TEAM YMCA- Dagupan City brought home two gold medals plus six silvers and five bronzes from the Rexona Karate Cup held November 10 at Xavier School in Metro Manila.

Jeramiel Guttierez of La Marea won gold in the 7 Boys Kumite while Dan Kurt Vidal of Ednas School topped in the 12 to 13 Boy’s Kumite.

Bagging the silvers are Jayson Macaalay  (Lyceum-Northwestern University-Special Science) in the 15 to 17 advance Boy’s Kata; Ryan Querubin  (Special Science High School-Mother Goose) 15 to 17 Novice Boys Kata; Kolleen Juguillon (Creative Montessori), 7 Girls Kumite; Fernandine De Asis  (St. Albert The Great), 12 to 13 Girls Kumite; and Jimko Alcantara (PreciousMinds), 7 years old Kumite.

The bronze medal winners are Fidel Salvador Reyes  (University of Luzon) won, 14 to 15 Boys Kumite; John Meverick  Edralin  (LNU-Creative Montessori), 12 to 14 Kata; Charles Jayvee Cardona  (Mother Goose), 14 to 15 Boys Novice Kata.

The YMCA DagupanCity Karate Team is a member of the International Federation of Wado-Ryu based in Tokyo Japan. #
