OUTSTANDING ALUMNA— Fe Guadiz-Vasquez, a Dagupena and founder of the St. Cecilia’s Music School in Dagupan that produced some of the country’s professional musicians and champions in the National Music Competitions for Young Artist (NAMCY), receives her award from Sr. Mary Placid, music directress of St. Scholastica College, after she was named “Centennial Outstanding Alumna Awardee” of the St. Scholastica College of Music last October 7 during the Centennial Concert at St. Cecilia’s Hall in Manila. She was cited for her “Special Contribution to the Development of Music” in the country and for her active participation in several concerts as soloist and as accompanist. She also received commendation for her humanitarian efforts granting scholarships to poor but talented students.
