DCNHS Interns Cap Off SP Work Immersion
SP CARES: Commitment in Action

Dagupan City National High School Students on their culminating activity
The Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) Session Hall became a venue of reflection and inspiration on January 9, 2025, as work immersion students from Dagupan City National High School (DCNHS) marked the completion of their 80-hour program. In a series of moving exit speeches, the students recounted their journey into the world of local legislation – from mastering administrative tasks to witnessing democracy in action during committee hearings and regular sessions. By drafting executive summaries and engaging with office culture, these young Dagupeños moved beyond textbooks to learn the true meaning of being a responsible employee with a dedicated heart for public service.
This culmination highlights the SP’s steadfast mission to mold the city’s next generation of champions, adding another successful batch to its growing list of alumni. As one chapter closes, a new one begins with the arrival of several college interns eager to start their own professional journeys. Currently, the SP is hosting OJT students from the University of Pangasinan and Lyceum-Northwestern University (Political Science), and the University of Luzon (Criminology and Information Technology). Through these sustained immersion programs, the Sangguniang Panlungsod continues to bridge the gap between education and governance, ensuring a bright and capable future for Dagupan’s workforce.
