Sison civilian helps find missing bride-to-be
A Sison resident played a key role in locating a bride-to-be from Quezon City who was reported missing earlier this month and was later found in the town on Monday, December 29.
Police identified the civilian as Rodel Cyrus Dela Rosa, a resident of Barangay Asan Norte, who assisted Sherra de Juan, reported missing on the afternoon of December 10, 2025, in Quezon City. De Juan’s disappearance had drawn wide attention on social media days before her scheduled wedding.
According to police, De Juan sought help from Dela Rosa at around 9:30 a.m. on December 29 after meeting him along the bypass road in Barangay Binmeckeg, Sison.
Dela Rosa brought her to his in-laws’ home, where she was given food, care, and clean clothing with the family’s assistance.
De Juan was later helped in contacting her relatives, who coordinated with Station 5 (Fairview) of the Quezon City Police District. The QCPD, in coordination with the Sison Municipal Police Station, subsequently retrieved De Juan to ensure her safety and facilitate her return to her family.
Authorities conducted initial interviews to establish the circumstances of her disappearance, how she traveled to Pangasinan, and where she stayed after leaving Metro Manila. These details remain under verification and investigation by the Sison police. (Ahikam Pasion)
