₱680K shabu seized in Dagupan buy-bust

A high-value drug suspect was arrested during a joint anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation conducted on December 20, 2025, at around 8:36 p.m. in Barangay Bonuan Binloc, Dagupan City.

The operation was led by the City Police Drug Enforcement Unit with support from the City Intelligence Unit and Station 6 of the Dagupan City Police Office, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 1.

Authorities identified the suspect as a male resident of Sitio Silungan, Barangay Bonuan Binloc, who is classified as a High-Value Individual (HVI) in the illegal drug trade.

Recovered from his possession were four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing approximately 100 grams, with an estimated street value of ₱680,000.

Also confiscated during the operation were the marked and boodle money used in the transaction, one motorcycle, one plastic bag, and one small box.

The suspect is currently detained at the Dagupan City Police Office custodial facility and faces charges for violation of Section 5, Article II of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Officer-in-Charge City Director P/Col. Orly Pagaduan said the successful operation is a “clear manifestation of our relentless campaign against illegal drugs” to ensure a safer and drug-free Dagupan City. (Eva Visperas)
